Welcoming Our Latest Golden Guernsey Kids

There is a specific kind of magic that settles over the farm in early spring, there is a sense of anticipation, that anticipation turned into pure joy as we officially welcomed the newest members of The Ammil Herd.

The arrival of new kids is more than just a seasonal milestone for us; it is a vital step in our mission to protect and celebrate the rare Royal Golden Guernsey goat.

Our latest arrivals have hit the ground running, literally. Born with their characteristic golden coats and gentle temperaments, these kids are already showing off their curious personalities. Whether they are practicing their first "zoomies" across the barn or tucked away in the straw for a nap, they are a constant reminder of why we do what we do.

Watching them bond with their mothers is a masterclass in nature’s rhythm. Because we maintain a small-scale, patient approach to farming, we get to know every single one of them by name and character.

Bringing new life into the herd is particularly special because of the rarity of this breed. The Royal Golden Guernsey is a heritage treasure, known for:

• The "Golden" Standard: Their milk is exceptionally rich and creamy, which is the secret behind the luxurious lather in our soaps.

• Gentle Nature: They are famous for being incredibly docile and friendly, making them a joy to care for.

• Conservation: By supporting our herd, you are directly contributing to the survival of a breed that was once on the brink of disappearing.

While these little ones spend their days growing strong, their mothers will continue to provide the raw, nutrient-dense milk that forms the heart of our artisan process.

The same landscape that nourishes our goats will eventually find its way into our slow-cured, artisan soap bars. Every birth on the farm ensures that we can continue to share the "ammil" spirit with you for seasons to come.

We’ll be sharing more photos and videos of the kids as they start continue grow. If you want to see them in action, be sure to follow our journey on our social channels!
